This hotel is located only a few minutes from the lively centre of Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, the economic and trading centre of the country. A colourful cityscape attracts visitors with fascinating buildings in colonial style in addition to tourist sights. Fascinating monuments and Buddhist temple, such as the Sule pagoda are interesting sightseeing destinations. Yangon airport provides good international connections and is about a 30-minute drive away.

The hotel is constructed in a modern architectural style and offers a total of 403 rooms. The hotel is fully air-conditioned and welcomes its guests in a spacious lobby, which includes lifts. The reception desk is open around the clock, there are safes where visitors may deposit valuables for the duration of their stay, and a currency exchange facility is also available. Further facilities include a restaurant (with highchairs for children), several bars and a café where guests may relax with various treats. Further facilities include a selection of shops and a hairdresser. Various rooms for conference are available to guests, while all visitors may take advantage of the room and laundry services as well as a public Internet connection with W-LAN access and a medical assistance as necessary. Those arriving by car may make use of the parking facilities.

Rooms
Rooms are generous proportioned rooms and bathrooms (31 square metres) are well appointed and sumptuously decorated, though the standard rooms which do not enjoy the better city views (ie no pagodas) have had some facilities taken away. They are still the same size as the rooms with better views. Rooms come with voice mail, satellite TV , IDD telephone, electronic safe, minibar, coffee/tea making facilities and executive writing desk.

Restaurant & Food
Traders Cafe takes 152 pax for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner dishes are a mixture of Burmese, Indian and International dishes. Almost as many covers will fit into the signature Japanese restaurant Tategoto. Cantonese and seafod are served in the plush Summer Palace, Whilst the smaller Gallery bar serves cocktails and steaks.

Activities & Sport
In the spacious hotel grounds there is a swimming pool, which provides a relaxing alternative to a visit to the town. The pool area is surrounded by a large sun terrace and has many sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Furthermore, those who do not feel like swimming or sunbathing are welcome at the poolside snack bar or can treat themselves to a relaxing and extensive massage.
