Cayenne

Cayenne is the capital and the largest city of French Guiana. The city is known as the important industrial centre for the shrimp industry. Formerly known as a city contained sugar refineries. Cayenne is located on the banks of the estuary of the Cayenne river on the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s motto is “ferit aurum industria” which means “work brings wealth”.
