Pontianak

The capital of West Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo, Pontianak is one of Indonesia\'s more unique cities, as it is located directly on the equator. To celebrate its particular latitude position, the city erected the Equator Monument in Siantan. With the three main cultures of Dayak, Melayu and Chinese in harmony, the people of Pontianak have developed a unique culture of their own.
