Sampit

Sampit, capital of East Kotawaringin regency, is one of the most important cities in tCentral Kalimantan province. In this city, there are quite a lot of creeks that connects between the districts with other districts. There is also a peace monument commemorating the tragedy of the tribal war in 2001. Sampit at that time was known as a ghost town. However, these days, Sampit has become a safe city and one of the tourist destination. One characteristic of this city is Bundaran Sampit, which is located inthe city center. If you want to see the natural beauty owned by the city, you can visit Snow Lake with it\'s beautiful white sand. The city has an airport which is known as Sampit airport or Hasan airport.
